The Idaho Reception

Last Friday was a really fun day. Not only was it my birthday, but it was also the day I recieved the disk of photos from Pam and Hannah of the Idaho Reception. They are so cute I just want to squeeze their chubby little cheeks (the photos, not Pam and Hannah...ok, maybe Pam and Hannah, too).

Pam and Hannah are friends of Mason's family and shot the wedding for us for free since we didn't have a budget for photography at the second reception. We are so eternally thankful to them for lending their time and talent. The photos turned out beautifully. (See for yourself below.)

The Idaho Reception was held at the Stensgar Pavilion, which is part of the Coeur d'Alene Resort and Casino. The entire Pavilion is glass windows and looked so nice in the setting sun.

It was really great to see all of Mason's long-time family friends that I had never met, as well as our Northwest friends that we don't see very often. We even had a couple surprise guests all the way from Germany. We all enjoyed a nice dinner, plenty of cake, a frosty keg of Red Hook (brewed in Seattle) and lots of catching up.

But the best part of the night was the photo booth! A few weeks before the reception, Pam emailed me with the idea of a photo booth with props where guests could take silly pictures with each other. I'm so glad she suggested it because these are my absolute favorite photos from the night. (We started it outside and moved inside as it got dark.)

All in all, the Idaho Reception was tons of fun. The Northwest is beautiful this time of year, and I'm so happy that we got to end everything there with a few boat rides and one really great party.
