My year in quotes

As a writer, I’ve always been a fan of words. So, for the past couple of years, I’ve taken to writing down quotes that I like in my daily planner. Some of them are from famous people, some are from people who wish they were famous, others are from family and friends, and still others are from writers and singers and characters who feel like friends.

When thinking about an end-of-the-year blog post, I wanted to do something that would capture the silliness, sassiness and complete randomness of the past 12 months, and I figured what better way to do it than by posting my year in quotes.

Some of them aren’t exactly ground breaking. Most are not eloquent. But each was exactly perfect for the moment, and I hope, all together, they make for a nice read.

P.S. - If you happen to find one of yours in the list, I would like to say thank you for helping to make this year one of the great ones.

Thats such a mase-factor-esk quote.

Speaking of freedom to do what you want, I'll be moving back to Warshintun this summer and then going to Europe...when is Rosorito Round 2 gonna be you think?

Reese,

When I hear a good quote, I write it on my calendar. I write it on the month that I hear it in and then transfer them over to my new calendar each year. that way, when I read the quotes each month as i turn a new page, i get a glimpse/reminder of where I've been in the past and the things that were meaningful to me then. On my December page are these quotes...

In the middle of difficultly, lies opportunity. ~Albert Einstein

You would not be seeking me if you had not already found me. ~God

Not all who wander are lost. ~JRR Tolkien

and my all time favorite quote that is on every month and at the top of my blog...

A mind once stretched by a new idea can never regain its original dimensions. ~Oliver Wendall Holmes

It's been a really long time since I've heard a quote worthy of writing down. Maybe I'll come across some in the new year!

Merry Christmas!
