When you're embarking on a few reallllyyyy long plane rides (that you're terrified about), it's important to have a few reallllyyy good books and magazines to keep you distracted. I've got Glamour, Lucky, Water for Elephants (loved the movie!) and The History of Love (heard rave reviews on A Cup of Joe), and I have to admit, I'm kind of looking forward to eight uninterrupted hours of reading time (and drinking time - believe me, there's no way I'd make it over all that water without a few glasses of wine).

Both are good - History of Love is fantastic. For me, I need a bit more to choose from on a long flight, in case one doesn't sound good once I'm in the air.
